I’m not surprised that the SBC is shrinking. Though I’ve had my own share of negative interactions with the SBC, I don’t think they are the problem. The problem exists in the Western church in general- in the United States and also western Europe. The vast majority of that church has not adapted to reach out to people in the 21st century. It’s a real tragedy but this study is symptomatic of the church as a whole.
