Used Book Shopping
By jason | April 10, 2008
I had about 30 minutes to hit one of my favorite used book stores around. I didn’t have any luck today. Or maybe that’s just because I am working hard to only purchase things I need.
Anyway, the strangest thing I have seen in while was located in the used book store. A complete Jimmy Swaggart commentary set.
I’m curious. Who in their right minds wants a Jimmy Swaggart commentary set? Maybe I’m a judgmental jerk but are you serious?
Crazy. Weird.
Tomorrow heading to one of my favorite new book stores. Hopefully I have better luck there. Carrie’s rooting against me on this one. ![]()

What is your favorite used book store? In KC, mine is Half Priced Books (was so in Dallas as well). There are no good used book stores in Columbia, can you believe that?

In Springfield ABC books is pretty good. Though I’ve struck out quite a bit recently. In KC Steele’s is pretty good but his prices keep creeping up a bit too much.
Where’s half priced books in KC?

There’s one in Westport. There are two on the KCK side. I like ABC books in Springfield. My favorite in Springfield is Redeemer books. A lot of commentaries and good theological books. On the corner of National and Republic.
