Update on LifeConnection

Well, I headed to KC for some meetings yesterday which went very well. I met up with a friend who is a music guy over on the KS side of the metro. It’s always encouraging to hang with him and to see/hear what God is doing on that side of the city through his great church.
Through this I gathered a few more contacts to talk with about joining our financial support team which was good. I also got some info on a music store owner to talk with about LifeConnection to see if they might be interested in what we’re doing. So it was a great hour or so with him.
I then went to Noland Road (as I mentioned previously). I was expecting to meet with the associate pastor to talk about the possibility of using a small space for my office. But instead I was given the tour of the room they had available and was told it was mine if I wanted it. Pretty much a no-brainer there, of course. So I now have a small 8×8 office in The Plex at Noland Road Baptist Church.
Met with their new music guy while I was in town. He’s a great guy who just recently moved over from STL to lead their creative arts ministry. Very talented guy and we found we have a lot in common (age, some music, families, wife’s name, etc).
God also provided more contributions to The 500 Project today! A local businessman has joined us for the next three years and another came through the mail this week. So to date we’ve now had over 20 pledges to The 500 Project.
We’d love your prayer as June is fast approaching. We hold our first prayer gathering in less than 2 weeks and our first Sunday Night Gathering in just over 2 weeks! We can’t wait to get rolling but there is still so much to get ready.
Prayer Points:
1. We must sell our house. It is so slow right now in real estate that it will take an act of God to sell this things.
2. We need to find a rental house or duplex that we can afford.
3. We need to raise enough money to meet all our start-up cost needs and to meet salary needs.
