This is just what you’d expect from UT and OU fans. Check it.
Want to know what the next generation likes in pop culture? Check out the Teen Choice Awards results. Check it.
Hot Dogs are one of my favorite food items. I could probably generalize that to include any meat or meat-like product rolled up in a link (some day I will post about one of my greatest ideas yet - it’s a good one). And Chicago is definitely the Hot Dog Lovers mecca. Mmmm, Hot Dogs.
New book to track Mother Teresa’s personal wrestling with her faith. Read it.
Mike Metzger says if you can’t get your friends to check out the Bible then take them to see the Bourne Trilogy. Check it.
For all you Biblical studies nerds out there you have to check out “The Secret Diary of D.A. Carson” or The Don. Funny stuff. Find it.
Ideas for developing connections with those far from Jesus. Check it.
Old News but Vick is suspended by NFL indefinitely. Some have suggested this is blown up because of race. That’s hard to see from my pov. I think, MAYBE, it’s blown up b/c here’s a guy who had a $130M contract for ten years and he’s caught red handed doing something so extremely inhumane. Read it.
“What Women Wish Their Pastors Knew.” Read it.
Here’s a good post on vision in church planting. Check it.
Logo and Identity manuals. Check it.
Just found a link to Videomaker and it seems like it could be a helpful site. Learn More.
Info on a new book set to release by Tim Keller. The TOC looks really good. I will be interested to see how someone like Keller deals with these questions. It’s already on my Amazon Wish List. Check it.
Interesting, there is an hour long interview with Alister McGrath. It’s interesting because he’s interviewed by Richard Dawkins. See it.
Man, is the saga with Haggard ever going to subside. Now he’s knocking people up for money “support raising” for a new venture - ministry school. Apparently the $115,000 he received for 10 months before the scandal broke is not enough. Nor is the $85,000 anniversary bonus he received before the scandal. Nor is the $138,000 severance package he received. (I’m no math whiz but that is more money in one year than my wife and I have made between the two of us over the last 8 years!) CT Article. It’s been confirmed that his fundraising letter is real, read it. Others have picked up on the story. And it appears the group through whom he’s raising funds is a defunct charity, read it.
If you liked that post, check these...
