Sunday Recap at LifeConnection
By jason | March 11, 2008
This past Sunday was a great time as we continued our series Jesus Uncensored. I was a little nervous with the time change because in a small church like ours when a few dozen people are absent it is greatly felt. But we had a great turnout and the morning was awesome.
The band continues to kill it each and every week. They did a great leading. I think we are really seeing the value of our advance planning.
We talked about Jesus’ call for disciples to deny themselves, take up our cross, and follow him (Mark 8.31-38). What we considered is that while this requires much of us - relinquishing all our “rights” to Jesus - ultimately cross bearing is the best possible life to live because the cross brings hope and life to our world (Listen).
The highlight of the morning for me was seeing people sign up to serve and signing up for our Community Groups. It was very cool to see people taking next steps to get involved.
