Yesterday was a great Sunday. There is a great sense of anticipation as we head into the fall. Yesterday was our second largest attendance this summer and it’s a holiday weekend (we weren’t expecting that).
We were extremely short-handed on tear down but things still went pretty smoothly. We’ve found it difficult to have people commit to sticking around an hour late to help tear down. Fortunately, to this point, we’ve been able to handle it and part of that is we have very simple gear. But it would be helpful to see God raise up some road warriors.
We continued our slimmed down acoustic set this week. That enables easy set-up with a smaller stage. So the band was ready to go very early this week, which was nice. We have heard great response from our acoustic vibe the last two weeks, it’s been a very refreshing change of pace. Especially since the face melting begins in 2 weeks!
These acoustic sets have been a lot of fun. The team has been killing it and the vibe this Sunday was tremendous.
Roger Brant finished up his two week mini-series on Integration. Roger helped us to think through what it looks like to think holistically about life, seeing how the physical and spiritual intersect. For me the best piece from this Sunday was his connection to the integration we see on the cross.
We had some weird tech issues. It was the strangest thing with our video’s sound. We’re looking into that and will get everything set for Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll.
