LifeConnection C-Groups
By jason | May 30, 2008
I just received my copy of Nelson Searcy and Kerrick Thomas’ newest book, Activate: An Entirely New Approach to Small Groups, yesterday. I just thumbed through the table of contents and I’m really excited to read the book. While I highly doubt it’s an entirely new approach to groups I can tell that they are going against some of the strong currents out there.
And much of their approach resonates with me as I think about our C-Groups (Community Groups). We’re working feverishly this summer to train and equip emerging leaders. We’re setting up our apprentice strategy. We’re working on some global material that all groups will utilize. In short we’re doing all we can to help ensure that we launch groups large this fall (to steal some terminology).
I’m so excited about our groups for the for the fall. For us, all our eggs are in the the C-Groups basket. These are the training grounds for discipleship. These will form the breeding ground for our leadership development process. These will be a prime environment where friendship and community will happen.
The fall is going to be an awesome time! You better get ready.
