Jimmy Swaggart Commentary Set (Update)

*A Friday afternoon interlude*
First off I discovered that ABC’s price on the set is quite competitive. So for anyone looking to buy, that’s the place to go.
But before you head over there is something you might want to know. I don’t know if you realized this but apparently Swaggart was a part of several scandals. I know. I know. News to me too. But, alas, it is true. The room where he “knew” a prostitute was even immortalized in the movie Monster’s Ball.
Now, I understand this may affect your decision to buy the commentary set. Some may want to rush out even more quickly now to see how Swaggart deals with those “complex” and “delicate” texts about keeping your pants zipped around prostitutes. I mean he knows how to rebuke people for their sexual indiscretions (just ask Marvin Gorman and Jim Bakker; but from Marvin: “what you can do I can do better”).
His ministry shrunk but his family was still provided for with a salary over $350,000 (thank goodness, how can someone be expected to feed their family on 100K?).
But more than that, you might be wondering how this esteemed expositor deals with the texts related to that horrid devil music known as rock ‘n roll (the scourge of the earth). Swaggart could kick Ozzie’s butt, don’t you worry about that. Ozzie better just be glad he never tried anything physical. It’s one thing to write a song of mockery it’s another to thrown down.
Where is he now (like a good VH1 special)? He’s still at it. No documented prostitutes since the early ’90s. And now the culmination of many years of “faithful” work, The Complete Jimmy Swaggart Commentary Set. Buy one for yourself. Buy one for a friend. Buy one for your church’s library. And most of all buy one for a Seminary (what institution of higher learner is complete without it).

I don’t think I will be purchasing the commentary set, but I do appreciate the posting of the OZZY video. A definite blast from the past. I remember cruising the srip on Friday nights blaring this from my car stereo, and letting my mullet fly in the wind.
