Fresh Eyes
By jason | April 29, 2008
Last night I had dinner with Carson (check out his new blog) and Jordan (one of the dudes involved with LifeConnection). It was a lot of fun to hang out and hear what God is doing.
One of the cool stories from last night was Jordan and Carson sharing about a young guy who is spiritually searching. He hasn’t given his life and allegiance to Jesus yet but man, he’s standing at the precipice.
Recently they were all talking about how Jesus’ birth was predicted over 700 years prior to Jesus. His response, “whoah, that’s cool.”
As I thought about that this morning I was reminded how we all need fresh eyes when we read the Scripture. We too often come to it like it’s old hat. It no longer brings wonder or mesmerizes us.
May God give us fresh eyes today.
