The Face-Off
Friday, May 11th, 2007Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron (of The Way of the Master fame) recently challenged some atheists to a debate on ABC. Comfort claimed he could prove the existence of God, completely scientifically, without reference to the Bible.
Check it out.
If you watched it what do you think?
Was he successful?

Alister McGrath Debate
Tuesday, March 20th, 2007I’m still a bit groggy really from this weekend and unmotivated to throw out a full slate of links everyday (there are bunch that have been worthy but just haven’t linked). But I have to mention this one since it relates to issues I’ve been exploring in the sciences.
Here is a debate between Alister [...]
Science Sunday Recap
Sunday, March 18th, 2007Today in our series, “Legitimate Questions,” the question posed was “Doesn’t Science disprove Christianity.”
My hope was to help begin the conversation on this question, understanding that we couldn’t address every single facet of this question. But I also realized that I didn’t want some pep rally for “creationism” (which is different than Intelligent Design, but [...]
Book: Scaling the Secular City
Friday, March 16th, 2007During my prep for Sunday I re-read several chapters from JP Moreland’s Scaling the Secular City: A Defense of Christianity. I first came into contact with this book my sophomore year of college. While it is some 20 years old at this point, I still think it is the best single volume evidentiary [...]
Book: The Case for A Creator
Thursday, March 15th, 2007One of the books I re-read in the last few weeks is Lee Strobel’s The Case for a Creator. For those unfamiliar, this book follows Strobel’s best selling technique of interviews with experts on various issues related to the topic (ala The Case for Christ & The Case for Faith).
Strobel interviews many of the [...]
Science Sunday
Thursday, March 15th, 2007I’m no Ira Flatow, or better a guest on Ira’s show. But the last couple of weeks have been a lot of fun work re-reading a bunch of stuff, finding new things, etc. This kind of thing always gets me excited about a topic and I end up spending way too much time researching and [...]
Hitting the Wall
Tuesday, March 13th, 2007Well, in lieu of heading to the hospital bright (?) and early in the morning I have spent the day writing and getting everything done I won’t get to Tomorrow. It’s been quite a productive day and I have about half of the talk written at this point.
But I’ve hit the wall big time.
This [...]
Science and Christianity
Monday, March 5th, 2007So the next topic I’m tackling is on the relationship between science and Christianity.
I have to tell you, I’m really struggling through which direction to head on this (I have several ideas). Not because I haven’t spent time reading, thinking, and researching these issues over the years. Because I have. Not as [...]
