Philip Jensen on Anglicanism and Evangelicalism

    Friday, June 13th, 2008

If you have followed the blog for any length then you will probably recall how influential my time in Sydney spent with MTS.  The ministry model I saw - churches on campus, the hospitality that was extended to me, and the warm friendships I made all had a lasting impression on me.
    One of the highlights [...]

    Doubt Day @ Blue River

    Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

Carson has been killing it at Blue River Community College (though he probably doesn’t think so). He came in cold turkey, started a Community Group that has around 15 who are in and out, has met a ton of students, started a student organization called LifeConnection on Campus, and today was Doubt Day.
    The basic [...]

Blogging Hiatus - I’m Back & Campus Ministry in KC

    Friday, January 25th, 2008

Okay, one day without a post probably doesn’t qualify as a hiatus but I’m back today with a few posts and updates.
This has been a really great week as Carson and I have met up with a number of our campus missionaries around the city. My goal this semester is to give as much [...]

    Creative Arts/College Ministry Dude on-Site

    Sunday, January 6th, 2008

I don’t know why I haven’t posted anything about this yet but with the start of the new year our Creative Arts/College ministry dude, Carson Conover got moved over and began work. Carson is our only other full-time staffer with LifeConnection, raising financial support to take part in ministry.
Carson is a graduate of UCM [...]

And It Just Gets Better All The Time…

    Monday, December 3rd, 2007

Just received word that until we have a recognized student organization on campus we are not allowed to do anything to discover interested students (on campus).  At least we can’t go on campus and be legit in doing so.
Now I really want to give up.

In Leadership Look For F.A.T. People

    Sunday, December 2nd, 2007

Yesterday I tried to describe how we need to move with the movers.  Today I describe another principle: Look For F.A.T. People.
In many ways this principle goes hand-in-hand yesterday’s because it helps me discern who’s moving.  As I look for people who are moving I look for 3 basic characteristics.
    F - Faithful
    As I look for [...]

    Campus Ministry In Northwest Missouri

    Friday, November 30th, 2007

Yesterday I traveled to the tundra of Maryville, MO home of Northwest MO State University and the perennial powerhouse Bearcats Football Team. As I drove up there I reflected on several things (I’ll share those related to NW).
It was 12 years ago that I started my collegiate career at NW. Crazy to think [...]

A Strategy (In Progress) For Campus Ministry

    Friday, November 30th, 2007

If you couldn’t tell from my last post I am passionate about Campus Ministry and will do everything I can to lead LifeConnection to become a force for the next generation in KC.  I have a somewhat unique vantage point for this issue having just spent the last 7 years of my life in full-time [...]
